Prior to starting Howerton Law Firm, I practiced with different firms handling several felony charges in both Washington and Benton County, and the Washington County Public Defender's Office handling hundreds of misdemeanors. I defended DWIs and numerous other criminal charges in over 5 different District Courts in Washington County . It was not unheard of to have 30+ cases open at a time in Fayetteville District Court alone. I worked in this position for 2 years handling cases in Elkins, Fayetteville, Prairie Grove, West Fork and Springdale. I gained invaluable experience and tried numerous DWI cases throughout Washington County, with many favorable outcomes.
I have since opened my own practice defending not only DWI cases, but any and all criminal cases, whether felony or misdemeanor in all of Washington and Benton Counties. One thing I learned from my days at the Public Defender's Office is that many people feel helpless when it comes to defending their DWI case and many attorneys do not understand how to defend one. It is for these reasons I have decided to advertise my services in this area of the legal field.
